UEFA are debating whether it is a fitting reward for Europe Cup winners to award a Champions League spot from next season onward. If this IS the case I think it will be a massive step forward and will raise aspirations among qualifiers in, what has long been regarded as the 'forgotten' trophy of Europe and would maintain interest for clubs like ours.
